All Who Believe Be Saved?
John 3:16 -
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Does this line tells us that
whoever believes in God/Christ i.e. that God exist, and that Christ was
true, shall be saved? No, it does not. If that was the
case we would not need a complete doctrine from Christ nor the twelve commandments.
'Whoever believes in him'
= whoever believes that what he taught is the truth and so follows him;
this is what's meant with the quote. So you have no excuse for your fornications
by stating that you believe and you are saved. For if you believe you would
surely believe that fornication is damnation to the soul and that you will
not be saved but perish; and you would not fornicate but get married and
So, believing in Christ is
believing that all he taught is the truth, and that if you believe in him
you follow him. Remember what he said in the Revelations to that
church: "Because you are not hot, nor cold, I spew you out!".
You are cold and are called to the Gospel - The Church of Christ.
If you come half-way, consciously breaching commandments, fornicating
etc., you are lukewarm and you will be spewed out. Also Matthew
22:14: "For many are called but few are chosen". Be you
among the called, chosen and saved: follow the Gospel, not the Churches!
A believer is not saved,
but he surely knows how to safe his life, for he has read the truth.
People seem to grade Christians
into devout and not devout. This is wrong and the term 'Devout Christian'
should be 'Christian' for one is not a Christian if one is not devout,
but a mere 'Believer'. So we have 'Believers' and 'Christians'.
